Keyword Volume Tracker is an internal tool built and operated by Citizen Creative Agency LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) to monitor keyword search volume trends on behalf of our advertising clients. This policy explains what Google user data the tool accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Google User Data We Access

Keyword Volume Tracker connects to Google’s OAuth 2.0 authorization system and requests the following Google user data via the Google Ads API:

• Scope requested: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords
• Google user data accessed: search volume, competition level, and related historical keyword-performance statistics associated with the authenticated user’s linked Google Ads account(s), retrieved via the Keyword Planner historical metrics endpoint (GenerateKeywordHistoricalMetrics).

This access is strictly read-only. Keyword Volume Tracker does not access, view, create, modify, or delete any other Google user data, including but not limited to: campaign settings, ad creative, billing or payment information, conversion data, audience lists, or any account credentials beyond the OAuth tokens required for this authorization.

How We Use This Data

Google user data retrieved through the API is used exclusively to:

• Track month-over-month changes in search demand for a defined list of keywords, on behalf of the specific client account each keyword list belongs to.
• Generate internal reports and charts that help our agency and our clients understand shifts in market search demand over time.

This data is not used for any purpose outside of this reporting function, and is never used to train machine learning or AI models.

Data Protection and Security Measures

We apply the following safeguards to protect the Google user data this tool accesses:

• Encryption in transit: All communication with Google’s APIs occurs over HTTPS/TLS, Google’s standard encrypted connection protocol.
• Credential storage: OAuth client secrets and refresh tokens are stored in a restricted-access local configuration file on company-owned hardware. They are never committed to version control, published, or transmitted to any third party.
• Access restriction: Only authorized Citizen Ad Agency personnel with a legitimate business need have access to the systems and credentials used by this tool.
• No third-party sharing: Retrieved data is never sold, rented, or shared with any third party, and is never used for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to the client it was collected for.
• Scope minimization: Although the adwords scope technically permits broader account access, this application exclusively calls read-only reporting endpoints and never exercises any write, edit, or delete capability.
• Minimal retention: Data is retained only as long as it is useful for the relevant client relationship, per the retention policy below.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share the data accessed through this tool with any third party. Data is used only for the internal and client-reporting purposes described above.

Data Retention

Historical search volume data is retained for as long as it is useful for trend reporting to the relevant client, or until the client relationship ends, at which point associated data is deleted upon request.
